Lodge Ledger is a bookkeeping and financial organization tool, not a licensed accounting firm, CPA practice, tax service, or legal advisor. You are responsible for reviewing all records and verifying all AI-extracted information before relying on it.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Lodge Ledger, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app or by email. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

2. What Lodge Ledger is

Lodge Ledger helps short-term rental hosts organize bookkeeping data, track property-level performance, extract information from receipts and booking documents, and prepare reports for review.

Lodge Ledger is not tax advice, accounting advice, legal advice, investment advice, or a substitute for a licensed professional.

3. AI extraction and user verification

Lodge Ledger may use AI to extract fields from receipts, invoices, booking confirmations, bank statements, and similar documents.

AI extraction may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving extracted information before saving it to your records.

Lodge Ledger is not liable for losses, penalties, missed deductions, tax errors, or financial decisions arising from inaccurate or unverified extracted data.

4. No professional liability for tax or accounting outcomes

All dashboards, estimates, calculations, reports, and summaries are provided for informational and organizational purposes only.

You remain fully responsible for verifying tax calculations, filing decisions, categorization choices, and financial actions taken using information from Lodge Ledger.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lodge Ledger is not liable for incorrect tax calculations, audit issues, filing mistakes, bookkeeping errors, penalties, interest, or business losses.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You may not use Lodge Ledger to violate any law, upload fraudulent records, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or misuse the platform.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, create security risk, or violate these terms.

6. Data storage and privacy

We store account and bookkeeping data to operate the service. Your use of Lodge Ledger is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal financial data. We use service providers such as Supabase, OpenAI, Plaid, Resend, and NewsAPI to deliver the product.

7. Third-party services

Parts of Lodge Ledger depend on third-party platforms and APIs. We are not responsible for downtime, data quality, policy changes, or errors caused by those providers.

Lodge Ledger is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lodge Ledger will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, tax penalties, audit costs, data loss, or business interruption.
